Can anyone tell me what model(s) of MH/HF equipment can transmit the multi-frequency DSC distress alert?

Thanks - Bob Mc

All MF/HF controllers can all do it, Bob.

 Hi Glenn

I'm still trying to find out how to do it on the Sailor 2150 (live) and 4500 (sim) which we have at Sydney. I've never specifically looked for it on other models that I've occasionally sailed with at sea, maybe they all did it and I never had reason to check it out...

Any ideas about the Sailor 2000-4000 series would be welcome.

Sorry mate - no.

The sailor is a bloody nightmare....

I have only done it on the sadly departed Skanti DSC9000 series.

They were the Royce of DSC - along with the TRP9000 radio (or the 8000).

Hello

In Portuguese Navy use various equipment MF/HF:
The old Skanti TRP 9000 (DSC), 7000 (voice) and the Sailor RM2150, 2151 (DSC) and RE2100 (voice).

but I personally like more the old Skanti, very good equipment.

Hello Luis and welcome aboard.

Yes, the Skanti radios were great.

Much, much better than Sailor equipment!
